Mountain biking - From farming to wine-growing and back via the Greenway

As you leave the car park, turn right and go straight on at the roundabout. Go through the wooden barriers and cross the cycle path. Then carry on straight ahead for approximately 350 metres.

1. At the fork after the last houses, head left (do not follow the sign for “Sauveplantade” but follow the trail markers). When you reach a barn, turn right. After 4 or 5 houses, the path goes downhill. At the dip, head right and then continue left to pass under a terrace through a vaulted passage. Immediately afterwards, turn left, then follow the “Chemin du Pradet” to the right. If, after the arched passage, you turn right, a short detour will take you to the pretty little Romanesque church.
2. 200 metres after passing two houses, take the dirt track branching off to the left. This leads to the foot of the hill.
3. Towards the end of the descent, take care: take the sharp left-hand bend , then cross the ford 70 metres further on (usually dry but rocky). Follow the main path to a large house and continue along the tarmac road.
4. At the end of the descent, turn right onto a pretty little road that climbs gently for approximately 1 km.
   When you reach a farm, take the small road leading down to the left, then cross the bridge.
5. When you reach a cross on your right, take the street that runs diagonally to the left. You can see the church of St-Germain, which has the tallest bell tower in the Ardèche. Take Rue des Magnans (first on the right). After crossing the D 103 at the traffic lights, continue along Chemin de l'Ecole.
6. Just over 100 metres past the traffic lights, turn right onto Chemin de la Maisonnette. This will take you to Via Ardèche. Turn left onto it. For those who fancy more mountain biking, you can take the farm tracks that run alongside the greenway, first to its right and then to its left (also after crossing the RD103, continuing to a vineyard plot, at the end of which a small path on the right takes you back to the greenway just before the bridge over the Auzon). In both cases, take care when crossing roads.
7. At the Y-junction, turn left; and, at the library (the former railway station), leave the greenway to the right to return to the starting point, which is on the left just past the roundabout. If, at Y-the junction, you turn right and then left after the viaduct, you can visit the charming village of Vogüé, listed among the most beautiful in France. There are bike racks and electrical sockets behind the post office.
