The Rhône and its heritage by hire bike or electric bike

Start from the car park next to Chemin du Creux. Before or after your ride, you can securely store up to four bikes in a bike locker equipped with two electrical outlets (bring a U-lock) and then explore Viviers on foot, walking up to the cathedral and Chateauvieux.

Head 50 meters towards the town, turn right towards Place de la Roubine, and take the beautiful tree-lined avenue to the marina. It is possible to have a picnic there.

From the Viviers marina, follow the Rhône to the right. Take the path to the left to pass under the bridge and join the ViaRhôna. After turning right, turn left onto the quiet, low-traffic road that gradually leads back to the Rhône. You can then enjoy a shaded picnic area by the water. Cross the Robinet Bridge, then turn right onto the cycle path towards Donzère town center. Follow the Rhône until you reach the Donzère dam.

(If you prefer to use roads, follow route 92 of the "La Drôme à vélo" network: continue along the road, pass under the railway line, take the third right, and at the end of the street, go down to the right. Turn left after the tunnel, then take the second right, first right, first left, left again, then right, and take the road that climbs up to cross the dam.)

Past the dam, follow the road and the route 92 signs.

Upon reaching the D93n, cross carefully and continue following the signs for "La Drôme à vélo" route 80 towards the ViaRhôna. You will take small roads winding through the crops of the Rhône plain to reach the D59; follow this road to the right, cross the bridge over the Rhône, and arrive at the ViaRhôna rest area. If you wish to visit Bourg-Saint-Andéol or grab a bite to eat, you can leave your bikes in one of the storage lockers (the one on the right is equipped with power outlets).

Continue along the ViaRhôna towards Viviers, following the D86 and the Rhône heading north. Upon reaching a road, turn right, pass under the D86, and continue between the vegetable gardens and the "Camping du Lion" campsite. After passing "La Grange Écrasée," you will ride alongside a *lône* (a small side channel of the Rhône).

At the first intersection, turn right and cross a bridge. Further along, turn left, and at the next fork, continue following the line of trees.

At the T-junction, turn right and then left to cross back over the *lône* via the metal and wood footbridge. From this point on, the greenway runs close to the Rhône and beneath the trees.

Upon reaching the vicinity of the Donzère dam, head up to the left and pass under the departmental road. Then, take the left-hand path that skirts around a house, passes beneath the levee, and runs alongside another *lône*.

When you reach the Pont du Robinet, cross the road carefully. Follow the ViaRhôna as it branches off to the right, becomes a greenway again, and runs alongside the Rhône. Pass under the bridge and then head right. The first road on the right leads you back to the Creux car park.
