    Grotte Chauvet 2 Ardèche

Description

  1. From the Tourist Office, walk along the car park to reach the roundabout. Cross the road
  2. At the signpost, take the road to the left and follow the signs for Joncier. Follow the yellow and white signs for 1.6km.
  3. When you reach Joncier, follow the signs for La Barthe. You will come to the D4 and about 200 metres further on the Pont de l'Ibie.
  4. After crossing the bridge, take the road for 30 metres and cross it to take a path that is less steep than the first. The path then winds in tight twists and turns. Cross the D4 again and continue along the path for a kilometre.
  5. Take the track on the right and follow the D4 for 200 metres.
  6. At the La Barthe signpost, take the path on the left towards Grotte Chauvet 2 for about 500 metres and you've arrived.
  7. Once you've completed your visit, take the path in the opposite direction back to the Tourist Office.

From Aubenas, take the D579 in the direction of Vogüé, Gorges de l'Ardèche as far as Vallon-Pont-d'Arc.

From Bourg-Saint-Andéol, take the D4 towards Vallon-Pont-d'Arc.

From Alès, take the D104 towards Aubenas. Then take the D111 towards Gorges de l'Ardèche as far as Vallon-Pont-d'Arc.
